The Family Wellness Instructor Training is an interactive, three-day, 24 hour workshop that provides certification for facilitators to instruct families in their community using the Family Wellness programs. It is designed for educators, mental health professionals, ministers, social workers, employee assistance workers, therapists, community leaders, and others interested in helping families.
In the training you will learn the theoretical foundation of the Family Wellness model, and how to help families change. We also teach you how to develop your own Family Wellness series, funding and marketing techniques, and how to work with a variety of audiences, including children.
WHO USES FAMILY WELLNESS?
Therapists and counselors use Family Wellness as an effective tool in negotiating family conflict. Schools use this program to strengthen families for the success of their children. Social Services use this model for family preservation, as well as child abuse prevention and intervention for court-ordered parenting. Churches use the curriculum in family and youth ministries. Other community agencies use Family Wellness to involve parents with their children and mentors of like ages to prevent pregnancy among teenagers.
